Best to use "s1as" as the alias of the new private key. It's used in many places in at least two config files. If you used a different alias when you created the key, like I did this time, you'll want this:

keytool -changealias -alias tokabc.ansys.com -destalias s1as -keystore keystore.jks

OK, turns out that the ofed packages that are stock with openSUSE 10.3 - which I'll list here:

ofed-1.2.5-18.x86_64.rpm
ofed-doc-1.2.5-18.x86_64.rpm
ofed-kmp-default-1.2.5_2.6.22.5_31-18.x86_64.rpm

... install a module named ib_mthca - the core module for infiniband support it appears.

Once that module hits the kernel, the load steadily rises to the +1 state I reported earlier.

Odd - moving to report to the openib folks.

Thanks for the awesome notes Mike. I had been searching (in vane) for anything that would help me figure out the problem with the display in my XPS pp09l. I followed the steps to disassemble the XPS and was able to easily remove the video card (I agree, very well designed). I love my XPS but the video display went on it (best way to describe it is "pixelated", lines and blocks in the rendered display). So I am assuming that I have to replace it. Could you tell me where you were able to acquire a replacement part Mike?
Thank you so much!

Hey, Mike! Just got a LinkedIn message that said you'd updated your profile, which led me to your blog (which is very cool!), so thought I'd write to say hi.

I guess this isn't really a comment to the post (though I will check into the calendar stuff), but since I don't think I have your e-mail address anymore.... Hi!

~Rebecca (Siegel)

That’s good stuff Mike, glad to hear all is going well. I agree Dan's commitment to using renewable energy resources is rather inspiring. In a rural area, say Grafton perhaps, it makes complete sense, where that source of power is far more reliable than grid power. Saving the earth never hurts either.

P.S. That story about your dog dying is a tear jerker. Great wrap up at the end though, tied it all together…..maybe you minored in journalism….
